Thales presents a hyper-connected roof box

Visitors at the ASTRID User Days will be able to discover a roof box for patrol vehicles which is currently being tested by the French police. Thales will present a car fitted with the result of development work in partnership with French coachbuilder Gruau, i.e. a removable, autonomous roof box that is fitted to the patrol car in place of its traditional light bar. Built from extra-strong composite materials, the unit houses all the key functions, from radio, lights and siren to 360° camera, microphones and facial/number plate recognition camera’s.
